oops

gotta put this up here again so I can get it at school tomorrow.
if you plagiarize, I will send rabbid wolves to your door. =]

One sad day stood I lamenting,
Former times was I repenting,
When without warning, gone was the morning,
And before me stood a Haunt.

Nasty and gnarled, it sneered and snarled.
That ancient, ghastly, ghoulish, gaunt Haunt.

It beckoned with one crooked finger,
Tapped me with that spooky stinger.
This motion it remained repeating --
Repeating til defeating ev'ry fleeting bit of wit,
And of that Haunt? I followed it.

We wrought fowl deeds to suit our needs,
Brokers, bankers, and all who lied.
They pled, cried, bled and died,
With that, new strength were we supplied.

Yet regret was met one afternoon,
Mem'ries came back all too soon.
Upon fair Mary we had came,
And soon her fate would be the same.

One look at the Haunt, and my heart did sink.
He smiled back, crooked, with a wink.
And when the light had left her eye,
When I heard that cold weak sigh,

There was no more Haunt before me.
I stood in the street
aaaaaaaaaaSorrow.
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaPity.
